Seeds of Mercy Outreach International
On the island of Daram, Samar, many homes are destroyed whenever typhoons strike. Most houses are built from wood, with roofs made of coconut leaves, making them less resilient against strong winds and heavy rains. Even when reinforced, these structures often suffer severe damage due to the intensity of the storms.
Seeds of Mercy Outreach International extends relief to families whose homes have been affected, providing essential support such as rice, canned goods, noodles, medicine, and clothing. Through these efforts, we strive to bring hope, comfort, and practical assistance to communities devastated by natural disasters.
Crisis Assistance
The Philippines is struck by powerful typhoons every year, with an average of 20–25 tropical storms hitting the country annually. The island of Daram, Samar, is among the most vulnerable, being surrounded by the sea and far from city centers.
When storms arrive, residents are often cut off from boat transportation, leaving them unable to access food, medicine, and other essential supplies. Since most families rely on fishing for their livelihood, they are unable to work during severe weather, deepening the hardship.
Seeds of Mercy Outreach International stands ready in every storm, providing relief through rice, canned goods, noodles, medicine, and clothing to those affected. In times of disaster, we strive to bring hope, comfort, and practical support to communities in need.
