From Compassion to Community: A Growing Mission in Samar, Philippines

Seeds of Mercy Outreach International is honored to officially announce its partnership with House of the Lord Church Mongolbongol, located in Mongolbongol, Daram Samar, Philippines.

This church was founded by Anita Moberg, who first established a born-again Christian ministry in the small and remote island community of Mongolbongol. Surrounded by the sea, this area presents many challenges both geographically and spiritually especially as the majority of families in the community come from strong Catholic backgrounds.

Despite these challenges, through faith, perseverance, and acts of compassion, the ministry has steadily grown. By reaching out to those in need feeding children, supporting families with limited resources, and helping individuals who are struggling with illness and unable to afford medical care the church has become a place of hope and transformation for many.

Little by little, a community of believers has been formed. While some families continue to navigate differences in faith, the doors of the church remain open to all who seek help, love, and support. The mission has always been rooted in service, compassion, and faith.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

With this same heart to serve more people, Anita Moberg established Seeds of Mercy Outreach International. Through this organization, the mission continues to expand reaching not only communities in the Philippines but also opening opportunities for partnerships around the world to bring hope, help, and transformation to those in need.
