This was the reality faced by Jeffrey, a hardworking meat vendor helper from Bulacan, Philippines. On June 7, his wife gave birth to their first child. What was expected to be a normal delivery suddenly became a medical emergency when doctors determined that an emergency Cesarean section (C-section) was necessary to protect both mother and baby.

Within hours, the family's joy was overshadowed by an overwhelming financial burden.

Their hospital expenses quickly reached approximately ₱80,000, excluding the cost of medicines, post-operative care, and essential newborn supplies. For a family surviving on a modest and irregular income, these expenses were simply impossible to bear.

Faced with uncertainty and mounting anxiety, Jeffrey courageously reached out to Seeds of Mercy Outreach International, hoping someone would hear their plea.
